How do I turn a requisition into purchase orders?

On a saved requisition whose lines have a Vendor and a Price, press Generate Purchase Order: one order is made per vendor, site and project. Or open a Purchase Order and copy the lines in with the Purchase Requisition button.

Steps

  1. All at once. Open the Purchase Requisition and press Generate Purchase Order.
    • Only lines with a Vendor and a Price above zero are taken, for what is not yet ordered.
    • Each order is dated today, takes the requisition's currency, site and order journal (or the vendor's own journal), and is saved for you.
  2. Line by line. Open a Purchase Order, pick the vendor, Create, press Purchase Requisition on the lines, pick the requisitions and lines, Copy & Close.
    • Only released requisitions are offered, and only lines with no vendor or this order's vendor.
    • You may lower the quantity; you cannot go above what is left.
  3. Save the order.

Check it worked

  • The requisition's status moves to Order Partial or Order Completed. Purchase Requisition Process Line Status shows the order against each line.

If something looks wrong

  • "To Covert Purchase Requisition to Purchase order Required data is not complete." No line has both a Vendor and a Price.
  • "Purchase Order Quantity not Available". Everything priced is already ordered.
  • "Basic Data - Line ID: ... cannot exceed Balance Quantity ... in Purchase Requisition" on the order. Lower the quantity.
