Cost Area
Cost Area is the list of cost areas. When the cost area dimension is switched on in Account Dimension and given to an account range, every voucher line on those accounts is tagged with one of them, and reports can be read by it. Typical values: cost areas such as Plant 1 or Head office.

- Account Dimension and Account Structure - switch the dimension on and give it to accounts.
- Ledger Setup - which values each account range allows.
- General Entry - the Dimensions tab of each line.
