How do I set the password rule?

Fill the Security tab of System Administration Setting for each company.

Before you start​

  • Agree the rule with the client’s IT.

Steps​

  1. Open System Administration Setting for the company.
  2. On Security, fill Password Minimum Length and tick the character kinds required.
    • With no minimum length, the default rule applies: 8 characters, upper case, lower case and a number.
  3. Fill Password Expires After (Days), Earlier Passwords Not Reused and Block After Wrong Passwords, or leave 0 for not asked.
  4. Save.

Check it worked​

  • Setting a password that breaks the rule is refused with “Password must have …”.

If something looks wrong​

  • Different companies have different rules. A login is not tied to one company, so the strictest applies.
  • A user is blocked. They reached the wrong-password limit. Clear Block on User.
