Adjustment (3PL)
A document for a change found in a customer's goods: a recount, a re-weigh, a damaged batch. As shipped it records the circumstances of each line but not which item or how many, so it cannot express a quantity change.
What it is for
It gives a dated, numbered record, per customer, of what was found and where. It changes nothing else: there is no stock balance for it to change, and it does not post.
The lines have no Item and no quantity column. Write the item and the difference in Line Text, and the batch in Batch/Serial Number. Until the screen is completed, this is the only way to record what changed.
The toolbar has New, Create, Edit, Delete and Reverse. Reverse marks the document reversed; there is no posting behind it to undo.

Scenarios
- A pallet is found damaged. One adjustment for the customer, one line: the batch, Line Indicator
DMG, the zone, and in Line Text the item and the number of cartons damaged.
What it is connected to
- Warehouse (3PL) and Warehouse Zone.
- No printed form and no list exist for adjustments.
If something looks wrong
- There is no Item or Quantity column. As shipped. Use Line Text.
- The Unit lookup shows units that are not 3PL units. The adjustment line looks up the general units of measure, not the 3PL units.
