Sales Return

Goods coming back from a customer against a sales order of the return kind. Save brings them into stock and, when the Sales setting asks for it, raises the customer's credit memo.

What it is for

It receives what the return order approved. The quantity on each line cannot exceed what is open on the return order line. When the return order line names the batch the goods are returned into, that batch (and its batch card) is used.

A sales return cannot be edited or deleted, only reversed, and not once its credit memo exists.

What happens on Save

Stock goes up and the voucher posts. When the Sales setting names an invoice memo journal, a customer credit memo is raised from the return, unless one already exists.
