Goods going back to a vendor against a purchase order of the return kind. Save takes them out of stock at the cost they came in at and raises the vendor's debit memo.

A released purchase return order for the vendor, site and warehouse

What it is for

It returns goods at the right cost. Each line is valued at the net price of the receipt it came in on, with no discount of its own. If that receipt's period has already been settled by the Inventory Closing, the line keeps its own price, and the difference to the receipt's settled cost is recorded on the line as the purchase return difference.

A purchase return cannot be edited or deleted, only reversed, and not once its debit memo exists.

What happens on Save

Stock goes down at the receipt's price (see above) and the voucher posts. A vendor debit memo is then raised with the invoice memo journal of the Accounts Payable setting, unless one already exists.
