Cash and bank lists, reports and board
Where to see the bank work many documents at a time: three lists, one printed form, and the Cash & Bank board with ten tiles.
Lists
Each list opens from Cash & Bank › General. See Lists, boards and reports for how a list behaves.
| List | One row per | Criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Bank Transaction | Line of a Bank Transactions document: transaction, voucher, posting date and status, journal, currency, notes, origin date, instrument, debit and credit accounts, amount, line text | Transaction |
| Request For Letter Of Guarantee | Request for Letter of Guarantee: request, date, status, facility group and type, currency, value, dates, beneficiary, bank, responsibility and assignment | Request No; Date (required) |
| Letter Of Guarantee | Details line of a Letter of Guarantee with its header: number, date, bank, agreement, currency, value, interest, expense, expiry | Transaction; Transaction Date |
The Letter Of Guarantee list shows only guarantees with Details lines, and those lines are not kept in this version, so it comes up empty.
Report
| Report | What it prints | Criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Bank Transaction (Form) | A Bank Transactions document with its lines: journal, status, currency, reference, notes, deposit slip number, debit and credit accounts, amounts, instruments, line text, voucher and the user who made it | Transaction, Posting Date |
It sits on the menu as Cash & Bank › General › Bank Transaction (Form).
The Cash & Bank board
The board reads the company you are signed in to. It has a date range and a Bank as criteria. With no dates, it runs from the start of the current fiscal year to today. The Bank criteria keeps only the documents, or the general ledger accounts, that name that bank.
| Tile | Section | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Cash and bank balance | Balances | The balance at the end date of every general ledger account of the asset nature whose category is cash or cash equivalent, the movement within the period, and how many such accounts there are |
| Balance by cash and bank account | Balances | The same balance, account by account |
| Received and paid by month | Receipts and payments | Collections and payments in the period, by month |
| Received in the period | Receipts and payments | Collections in the period |
| Paid in the period | Receipts and payments | Payments in the period |
| Cheques issued not yet cleared | Cheques | Posted payment lines made through a cheque-type payment method that are not marked cleared, or were cleared after the end date; with the count and how many are post-dated |
| Cheques received not yet cleared | Cheques | The same for collections |
| Cheques waiting to clear | Cheques | Those cheques, one row each |
| Parked receipts, payments and transfers by age | Receipts and payments | Collections, payments and bank transactions still in Park, by how long they have waited: under a week, a week to a month, one to three months, over three months |
| Received and paid by payment method | Receipts and payments | Collections and payments in the period, by payment method |
A cheque leaves the "not yet cleared" tiles when a Bank Transactions line clears it. Reversing that Bank Transaction does not bring it back, because the Cleared tick stays on the payment line.
The balance tiles count only accounts whose category is cash or cash equivalent on the general ledger account. An account with another category is not on the board, whatever its name. See General Ledger Account.
