Bank
The list of banks. One record per bank: a code, a name, a currency and a routing number. It is picked wherever a screen asks which bank: on bank accounts, facility agreements, guarantees, payment methods, payments, collections, customer and vendor bank details, and on general ledger accounts.
What it is for
It names each bank once so every other screen picks the same one. The Cash & Bank board can be read for one bank: its Bank criteria works through the bank named on each cash or bank general ledger account.
Every field in plain words
Header
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|

One line per contact person at the bank: Person, Contact Nature, Contact, Extension, Primary, Site.
How to configure it
The screen allows Create, Edit, Delete and import. It has nothing to post or reverse.
Scenarios
- A company banks with three banks. Create the three banks, then one Bank Accounts record per account at each.
What it is connected to
- Bank Accounts - each account names its bank.
- Bank Facility Agreement, Letter of Guarantee - the bank that gives the facility.
- Payment Method in Payables and Receivables; Payment and Collection.
- Lists and reports - the Cash & Bank board's Bank criteria.
If something looks wrong
- A bank is missing from a lookup on another screen. The lookups offer only banks that are ready to use and not blocked.
