Cash Bank Setting
One record per company. It holds the one rule the bank screens read, whether every bank line must carry a transaction type, and the default values that fill or lock fields on the Cash & Bank screens for that company.
What it is for
It lets one company run the bank screens differently from another without changing the screens.
Every field in plain words
Controlling tab
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Transaction Type mandatory in Bank Transaction | Every line of a bank document must carry a Bank Transaction Type | Tick to enforce it. Save on Bank Transactions and Bank Reconciliation then refuses a line without a type |
Default Parameters tab
One line per field you want to settle for this company.
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Processcode | The screen | The screen's code, such as CBBT for Bank Transactions |
| Object No | The field on that screen | Picked from the screen's fields |
| Value | The value the field starts with | Optional |
| Mandatory | The field must be filled | Tick to make it required |
| Disable | The field is shown greyed | Tick to lock it |
| Hidden | The field is not shown | Tick to hide it. Naming a group heading hides the whole section |
A value a user has set for himself replaces the company value for that field.
Validation tab
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Processcode | The screen | The screen's code |
| Special Validation | A special validation to apply on that screen | Picked from the special validations list |
How to configure it
The setting belongs to the company you are signed in to; a second setting for the same company is refused. Fill it once per company, when the company starts using the bank screens.
