How do I compare the budget with actual spending?

Open Budget › General Ledger Budget › Budget vs Actual (or Budget vs Actual Lines for each period). Each row shows the budget, the committed amount, the actual and what is available: the same figures the spending check uses.

Steps​

  1. Open Budget vs Actual. Pick the criteria: Fiscal year, Budget, Budget Model, Account, Date From and Date To.
  2. Read the row: the budget amount, the committed amount, the actual (posted plus committed), the percentage used and the amount still available.
  3. For month by month, open Budget vs Actual Lines.
