Vendor Exception Group
A Vendor Exception Group is a code and a name. A vendor can carry one in Exception Group on Release Vendor In Legal Entity. No document reads it today, so it changes nothing.
What it is for
A label for vendors that are handled as exceptions. It is recorded only: no invoice, payment or report in Payables uses it.
Every field in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put |
|---|---|---|
| Exception Group | The code | Short code, unique |
| Name | The name | Required |
| Block | Stops it being picked | Tick to block |
How to configure it
Leave it empty unless the client asks for it.
Scenarios
- A client wants to mark vendors whose invoices need extra checks. You can label them here, but the label does not trigger any check. Use approvals or the setting's Field Values instead.
What it is connected to
- Release Vendor In Legal Entity: the Exception Group field.
If something looks wrong
- Putting a vendor in a group changes nothing. That is expected today.
