Storage Order

A storage order bills storage days: for each stored object it takes the day it came in (its IN movement) and the day it left or the till date, and charges the days at a daily price.

What it is for

  1. Fill Transaction Date, Till Date and Customer.
  2. On each line pick the Movement (an IN movement of a stored object). Date From is the movement date, or the day after the last storage order already billed for it; Date To is the day it went out, or the till date if it is still in.
  3. Days is worked out from the two dates; Adjustment adds or removes days; Quantity is Days plus Adjustment. Price per day times quantity gives the amount; tax follows the tax zone and tax group.

Rules on save: a line needs a category and a movement, Days above zero, and Date To cannot be after the day the object went out ("Line ID: … - Service Object is out, you can select date to …").

The storage order posts nothing; it is billed through Billing Proposal.

Scenarios

  • A police-impounded car stays 14 days. At release, one storage order line from its IN movement to its OUT movement, 14 days at the daily rate.
  • A long-stay vehicle is billed monthly. Each month a storage order with Till Date the month end; the next month starts the day after.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • Save is refused with "Line ID: … - Category is mandatroy". The line has no category or no movement (the same message is used for both).
  • Save is refused with "Line ID: … - Days cannot be zero or negative". Date To is not after Date From.
  • Save is refused with "Line ID: … - Service Object is out, you can select date to …". The object left earlier; use that date.
