Item Revaluation
Revalues stock on hand. For each item (and site, warehouse, variant as the item is valued) the screen shows the quantity and value on the posting date; type the new unit cost and Save posts the difference.
What it is for
It changes value, not quantity. A line that raises value is booked on the revaluation-up movement, one that lowers it on the revaluation-down movement: inventory account from the posting profile on one side, the journal's offset account on the other.
The one rule people get wrong: an item revaluation cannot be edited, deleted or reversed. To undo one, revalue again.
