Budget Model
A short list of budget versions: Original, Revised, Forecast. Every general ledger, sales and purchase budget names the model it belongs to.
What it is for
It keeps two versions of the same year's budget apart, so lists and boards can show one at a time.
The rule people get wrong: the spending check does not choose a model. When a document is checked against the budget, it takes the first General Ledger Account Budget line it finds for that account, dimensions and date, whatever its model. With two models budgeting the same account for the same dates, you cannot tell which one is checked. Keep one budget per account and period at a time.
Every field in plain words
