Exchange Category
An exchange category is a name for one set of exchange rates: the central bank rate, the bank's selling rate, a budget rate. Rates are entered under a category on Currency Conversion. Ledger Setup says which category each company converts with.

The rule people get wrong: documents read rates only from the company's Local Exchange Category. Keeping rates under a second category has no effect on postings.

- "Same Exchange Cateogry already exists" / "Exchange Category with the same name already exists" Use another code or name.
