One line per field to set, as on every module setting.

ColumnWhat it means
Process CodeThe Expense Management screen
Object NoThe field on that screen
ValueThe value the field starts with
Mandatory, Disable, HiddenMake it compulsory, lock it, or hide it, for this company

The posting journal is set here. Add a line with Process Code Post Expense Submission, Object No Transaction Journal, and the journal's code as Value. Post This Expense on a claim uses exactly this line; without it, it refuses.

Validation

ColumnWhat it means
Process CodeThe Expense Management screen
Special ValidationA special validation recorded against it. The Expense Management screens' own rules do not read this list

Two more ticks, Required Project in Line and Required Billable in Line, are configured for this screen but not placed on it, and nothing reads them.

What it is connected to

If something looks wrong

  • On a claim, "No posting journal is configured for Post Expense Submission. Set the 'journalno' default for EMPE in EM Settings first." Add the Default Parameters line described above.
  • Saving says the Legal Entity already exists. One record per company.
