What is Quotation Type in Businessflo​

Quotation type refers to the classification or category assigned to a quotation based on its purpose or nature. It helps in organizing and categorizing quotations for better management and analysis. Different quotation types may be used to differentiate between various scenarios, such as standard quotations, special pricing quotations, volume-based quotations, or project-specific quotations. This categorization aids in streamlining the quotation process and facilitates effective decision-making during procurement or sales negotiations.

Additionally, within the quotation type, you can define other requirements such as the required payment term, payment method, score, rank, scoring method, documents, and questions. These additional requirements allow for more specific evaluation and assessment of the quotations

How to Create a Quotation Type in Businessflo​

  • Module: PS - Procurement Sourcing
  • Process Code: PSST - Quotation Type

There are two options available to navigate to this screen.

  • Click on Procurement Sourcing -> Quotation -> Quotation Type
  • Write the process code for this screen in the search bar which will navigate you here directly.

The list shows the Quotation Types already being created in the system. Now either you can click on new button to create a new Quotation Type or you can select from the list of corresponding Quotation Types to view, edit or delete it.

To create a new quotation type, fill in the necessary details:

Now click on Save to save the information provided.
